50BVV30 Vanadium Black Lug Lugs
These are the prefect lug nut for OEM wheels with a large conical seat for OEM wheels such as the Chevy SS and Cadillac V model wheels.
Though some aftermarket lugs will work like the Monster Lugs 35 some owners do prefer a factory style seat but with an after market look. These lugs are perfect for that. See comparison above.
What is Vanadium?
Vanadium is a chemical element with the symbol V and atomic number 23. It is a hard, silvery-grey, malleable transition metal. The elemental metal is rarely found in nature, but once isolated artificially, the formation of an oxide layer somewhat stabilizes the free metal against further oxidation. Vanadium steel alloys are used to make extremely tough tools such as axles, armor plates, car gears, springs, cutting tools, piston rods and crankshafts. Vanadium alloys are also used to make nuclear reactors because of their low-neutron-absorbing properties, according to the Royal Society of Chemistry
This material is perfect for lug nuts which provide high Tensile and Yield strength at high temperatures, and good corrosion resistance in bad environments if you drive your car in harsh weather like snow where salt can be a major factor in damaging lug nuts.
