Operation is straightforward: screw the cartridge in tight, thread the head onto the valve, then unscrew the cartridge half a turn to release the gas. CO2 flow can be started, regulated, and stopped by tightening or loosening the cartridge – giving you control over inflation rate rather than dumping the entire cartridge at once. For Presta valves, loosen the valve core before attaching and inflating. For Schrader valves, install the inflation head onto the valve first before threading in the cartridge.
