Brake shoes are the rubber pads that press against your bike wheels to make you stop.

These R55C4 brake shoes are specially made for carbon fibre wheels. Which need different brake pads than regular aluminium wheels.

Carbon wheels are lighter and faster than aluminium wheels. But they need special brake pads because carbon gets much hotter when you brake.

Regular brake pads can damage carbon wheels or not work well when the wheels get hot. These R55C4 pads are made with a softer compound that works safely with carbon rims.
