The Shimano PD-ES600 is a high performance SPD road pedal combining lightweight efficiency with the walkability of an SPD pedal. The PD-ES600 has a wide platform for the efficient transfer of power from SPD shoes, so you can be sure that your pedaling efforts will count. It is also compatible with recessed cleat SPD shoes, for safe and comfortable walking when you’re off the bike.

SPD (Shimano Pedalling Dynamics) is a system that performs whether you’re on or off the bike, designed to meet the needs of mountain bike riding. SPD is also featured on some road touring shoes.
Shimano eliminated toe clips and integrated the pedal and outsole into a single, unified power transfer system to boost power to the pedal.
