These aircraft firewall material hood liners are another aftermarket alternative to Dynamat, W-M-S, and other aftermarket insulators.

According to the manufacture DHP, these hoodliners have an acoustic and thermal insulation that is FAR more superior to the stock foam pressed fiberglass liners that come from the factory. These insulators are made of ¼ inch thick flexible rubber foam that is effective to over 225 degrees F. The material stands up to forces and temperature fluctuations that cars experience by keeping the exterior of the hood cool while not reflecting engine heat back down toward your intake. The material is also used by NASA!
