Description
The Cannondale Moterra LT 1 is built for steep, fast and technical trails. It can handle easier trails but it’s full-potential is realised when the trails get rough and fast. With 170mm of front suspension travel and 165mm at the rear, the Moterra LT is built for aggressive descending and high-impact terrain.
Like all Cannondale bikes, the Moterra LT 1 uses a premium eMTB.
Its uses high-end carbon construction, suspension and one of Bosch’s most powerful drive units.
At its core is a lightweight carbon fibre frame designed to balance strength, stiffness, and handling.
The mixed-wheel “mullet” configuration pairs a 29-inch front wheel with a 27.5-inch rear wheel. Enhancing front-end stability while maintaining agility through tight corners and steep features.
What This eMTB Is Built For
- Steep technical climbs
- Fast, rough descents
- Enduro racing and aggressive trail riding
- Big mountain days and long-range adventures
Bosch motor and battery
The Bosch Performance Line CX motor delivers powerful and controlled pedal assistance for demanding trail riding.
Producing up to 100Nm of torque, it provides strong support on steep climbs and helps maintain momentum on loose surfaces. Power delivery is smooth and responsive too. Increasing naturally with pedalling effort to create a stable and predictable ride feel.
The motor is paired with Bosch’s integrated 800Wh Smart System PowerTube battery. This fits cleanly within the frame and offers extended range for long trail rides and alpine adventures.
The Smart System also enables connectivity via the Bosch eBike Flow app, allowing riders to track rides, receive over-the-air updates, and customise assistance modes to suit terrain and riding style.
Bosch batteries are designed for long-term durability.
The PowerTube unit rated for up to 1,000 full charging cycles before noticeable capacity reduction. This lifespan can equate to approximately 45,000 kilometres of riding, depending on terrain, rider weight, and support mode usage.
Fox Suspension
Front suspension duties are handled by a Fox Float 38 Performance fork with a GRIP three-position damper, which helps riders adjust compression settings based on terrain.
Rear suspension uses a Fox DHX Performance coil shock designed to improve traction and maintain consistent performance on rough trails.
SRAM Eagle Transmission
The drivetrain features SRAM Eagle 90/70 T-Type wireless electronic shifting in a 1×12-speed setup. Mechanical shifting is designed to provide precise and reliable gear changes, particularly under pedalling load or on uneven terrain.
TRP EVO brakes
Braking performance comes from TRP EVO Pro four-piston hydraulic disc brakes paired with large rotors (220mm front and 203mm rear). This setup is intended to improve stopping control and heat management during long descents.
DT Swiss wheels
The bike rolls on DT Swiss H1900 Spline eMTB wheels with DT Swiss 370 hubs. These are matched with Schwalbe Shredda and Schwalbe Albert tubeless-ready tyres, chosen for grip and puncture resistance in loose and demanding conditions.
